AGL Training Ltd are looking to recruit a Business Admin Apprentice on behalf of our well-established client based in Stafford Park, Telford.
Our client has had a vacancy open within the business and is keen on offering the opportunity to their local community. They have had an apprentice in the past and they were so successful they are now the business’ stock controller.
The apprentice will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Planning and Administration Office.
The position is for an Apprenticeship, the position is initially 12-18 months with the possibility of a full-time role at the end of the programme.
During this time, you will work towards the following qualifications:
• Business Administrator L3 Apprenticeship Standard
• Highfield L3 Diploma in Business Administrator
• Highfield Functional Skills in English and mathematics L2
General Duties
You will receive training to enable you to carry out the following duties.
• Use of Microsoft applications such as outlook, excel, word etc.
• Be involved with the entry of stock control and transport planning data onto warehouse and traffic management systems (WMS & TMS)
• Report generation and auditing.
• Support with commercial pricing and quoting.
• Support operational and transport related planning & co-ordination.
• Support the company’s HR team.
• Communicate with operational and transport colleagues within the company.
• Communicate with the company’s customer and supplier partners.
• Support the company’s continuous improvement team.
Skills and Requirements
The ideal candidate will:
• GCSE Grade 9-4 in English and Maths would be advantageous (equivalent to GCSE Grade A-C)
• Have good attention to detail.
• Can work alone and as part of a team.
• Willing to learn.
• Reliable and punctual.
Working Hours
Monday – Friday: 8.45am – 5pm
Total hours paid: 37.5 hours weekly
Hourly Rate: TBC – Will be higher than the apprentice minimum wage.
